Pakistan - Lahore The Pakistani test cricket board has selection of a new team to play the Sri Lankan's paid off magnificently, with Pakistan to a series win by winning the final test by two innings and 7 wounded, with no casualties on their own side.
The decision to recruit a new team from the north west frontier, which is controlled by the Taliban, is likely to prove somewhat controversial.
It is believed that it is the first time that the AK47 has been used as a cricket bat, or the 7.62*39 military round as a modified version of so called body line bowling style.
Even more controversial still was the decision to all eleven batsmen to be on the field with their new bats at the same time
Body line or fast leg theory, as it is officially know was pioneer by Douglas Jardine to counter the skills of Australian Don Bradman in the 1930's. The controversial practice was outlawed in 1935.
The ICC released a statement saying that the use of AK47 on the field of play is just not cricket.
The provincial government of Punjab offered a 10m rupee (£88,000) reward to the members of the Pakistani team in recognition of their stunning success.
