Also down my local supermarket at the moment they’re flogging a selection of limited edition Jubilee sandwiches, which are their usual selection of shoddy sandwiches repackaged & marked up in price.

You’ve also got M&Ms trying to cash in on the back of all the jingoistic patriotic bullshit that comes with the Jubilee

It’s a no brainer that there would be corporations attempting to cash in on something like the Jubilee, but is selling junk food, crappy memorabilia & other shitty goods the way ‘true British patriots’ (or reactionary rightwing turds) want the jubilee to be commemorated?

I’ve a serious issue with the jubilee whether or not corporations are going to cash in on it being as I’m no lover of the monarchy.

Ironically corporations cashing on the jubilee by selling crap to the masses could be good for economic growth & this country desperately needs economic growth; but we were told this last year in regards to Kate & Wills getting hitched, but as it turned out the royal wedding was in fact a contributing factor in a decrease of economic growth that quarter.

As well as corporations liking the Jubilee because its an opportunity to booster profits they also like something like the Jubilee because the Jubilee can be used to instil conformity via pair pressure & the more conformist people are the easier it is for corporations to market their tat. Those of us not wanting to join in with all the Jubilee bullshit get treated like oddballs & can find ourselves alienated, which is exactly what major corporations want because they want to sell stuff & when they can’t sell stuff to you they don’t like you.

I know people think they might have a choice with the current free market system but in fact its merely an illusion that you truly have a choice with the current free market system. You get the choice between the red tie & the blue tie; but you don’t get the choice of no tie!

Its funny that those of us who are called oddballs & who are alienated for choosing not joining in with the Jubilee bullshit are the ones who ironically want there to be greater choice. The more choice there is the more people are able to exercise free will & its important people are able to exercise greater free will because the greater the free an individual has its less likely they’ll succumb to slavery via the bullying of peers who have been condition by the marketing of major corporations.

As well as the Jubilee being a marketing banana for major corporations its also yet another example of corporatism. The Jubilee is small scale to the corporatist gang-bang which is the Olympics, but as with the Olympics the taxpayers of Britain will foot the bill & corporations will profit. All the events Lizzie has been attending have all been subsidise with public money & thus helped corporations to cash in from selling crappy memorabilia upwards to corporate hospitality.

Of course some will ask what’s the problem with corporations cashing in on the Jubilee if it helps to spur economic growth? Well it remains to be seen if the Jubilee does help spur economic growth & if it does it will only do so for those utilizing the Jubilee for their own nefarious meds & what about alternative vendors? Large corporations might prosper from the celebration of unaccountable hierarchical governance but what about the alternative vendors, you know the type of retailers you see around Camden Lock, the kind of free market capitalism I like to see. Yeah the Jubilee might be good for the major corporations who pitch to the middle class masses who conform to the desires of corporate desires; but it won’t benefit the independent alternative retailers selling to the goths, punks, trannies & other oddballs & whom middle classes with their conformist lust for corporate desires shits upon. I’m pro free market but I’m pro diversity pro free market; I represent the consumer interests of the goths, punks, trannies, geeks & other oddballs whom are pissed upon by the middle classes & their conformist lust corporate desires.
