Things must be a bit confusing for Queen Lizzie right now being both the head of state & the head of the Church of England; because her government are pushing to implement full marriage rights for gays & lesbians, but her church are refusing to adhere to gays & lesbians having full marriage equality.

I heard a spokesperson for the Church of England say yesterday that forcing the church to marry gays & lesbians would make the Church of England meaningless; hey as far as I’m concerned the Church of England is as meaningless as any other church where people pray to god being as…GOD DOESN’T EXIST! If there are gays & lesbians foolish enough to still believe in god & want to be married in a C of E church, the continuing refusal of the Church of England to marry gays & lesbians just proves what a butch of bigots the Church of England happen to be.

I’ve of course heard Church of England parishioners give the same excuse for continuing to discriminate against gays & lesbians as I’ve heard from Christian fundamentalists & that of course is that God says in the bible that homosexuality is a sin blah, blah, etc. Whereas I expect Christian fundamentalists to use whatever is written in the bible as an excuse in continuing to discriminate against homosexuals as they’re dumb to the bible literally, I’m surprised that C of E parishioners would be using the same excuse being as the Anglican church as a whole has long taken a more metaphorical & moderate interpretation of the bible & many parishioners practically cherry picked what bits of the bible they happen to believe. But whatever you believe to be true in regards to the bible, whatever is written in some old crusty book isn’t excuse to discriminate sections of society for loving each other differently to you! If you do believe that the bible is the literal word of god & that god wrote without any ambiguity that homosexuality is a sin, then god is a hate filled bigoted cunt & thus you your worshipping a hate filled bigoted cunt.

I’m utterly fed up with Christians preaching to the world that god is all loving & then making excuses to be hate filled bigots towards homosexuals. If god is all loving then god is all loving & if god is all loving god ain’t to disapprove of gays & lesbians loving one another because god is all loving.

As far as I’m concerned there is NO EXCUSE what so ever to oppose gay marriage & if you do then you’re a bigot!

Despite generally having a pretty dim view of the Tories, I have to commend David Cameron for pushing for full marriage equality for gays & lesbians despite Tory backbenchers like Nadine Dorres giving him a hard time for doing so.

I’m all for the separation of church & state & proving Christians to be bigots & that Christians are bigots on the basis that a non exist mystical being instructing them to be bigots. Some are speculating that the issue of same sex marriage could lead to the disestablishment of the Church of England, well id the issue of gay marriage does lead to the disestablishment of the Church of England then it would prove that parishioners of the Church of England are just as bigoted as any other Christian group are towards gays & lesbians.

If you’re a C of E parishioner who believes god is all loving & support lgbt equality I’d suggest you cease making excuses in continuing to worship at a C of E church so long as the Church of England continue to make excuses to discriminate against gays & lesbians, because to do so means you’re supporting bigots.
