Beer Banned Due To Label?

An 18.2% beer produced by Scottish based BrewDog Brewery has been banned for sale in Britain.
The Portman Group who regulate the way alcohol can be marketed in Britain after there where complaints lodged by the pressure group Alcohol Focus Scotland that the message on BrewDog’s Tokyo* label encourage excessive drinking.
The message on label of the particular brand of beer says; people must, from time to time, have excess, and adds: "This beer is for those times."
The Portman Group are issuing a retailer alert bulletin & wants the marketing altered. Portman Group said "We don't regulate the alcohol content of drinks but we do control how they are promoted. It's obviously unwise for any company to urge consumers to drink to excess. We won't allow any irresponsible marketing whether it's for a big brand or a niche product. That's why we're taking action to restrict future sales of this beer."
JESUS FUCKING CHRIST!
I’ll tell you what encourages irresponsible drinking the fact that any bottle of beer says ‘beer’ on the label or says ‘contains alcohol’, if people want to get drunk they will get drunk & the booze regulators banning this beer due to a marketing message is kind of statement saying that people are stupid. If you believe whole heartily in the marketing spin you get with any brand then I kind of think you too stupid to be breathing. Oh & here’s the bottom line which the nanny statist shitheads at Alcohol Focus don’t want to hear…nobody has to buy alcohol & if they do, they should be free to buy what they like because what they ingest into their own body is their own business because property rights 1:01, an individual owns their own body therefore what they ingest into their own body is their choice!
Its not like this brand of beer was widely available, in fact it was only available via Brewdog’s website & so it weren’t as if Chavy kids could go to that one Off Licence in town, that will serve to underage drinkers & purchase a bottle or two of Tokyo*, but there are still plenty of other strong beers sold dead cheap they can get wrecked on.
As Brewdog’s co-founder said, the Portman Group's decision to ban Tokyo* highlights the misdirection of their organisation & that the Portman Group should perhaps concentrate their efforts on targeting the brands selling 24 cans of lager for £7 - where literal excess is contributing to there being an alcohol problem in Scotland.
Ironically Brewdog have followed up Tokyo* with an ultra weak beer called Nanny State.
As it goes Brewdog have last week launched a 32% beer entitled Tactical Nuclear Penguin, I bet the nanny statists at Alcohol Focus will find something to whine about it & will do so until those who believe in self ownership get militant with these nanny statist shitheads.
