Today marks a 100 days to go until the opening ceremony of the Olympics & are you excited at the prospect of all the consequences of London hosting the Olympics?

Are you excited at London being turned into a police state! Are you at excited at there eing more British troops deployed on the streets that have been deployed at any point during Britain’s involvement in Afghanistan! Are you excited that many essential shops & services will be closing down for the duration of London hosting the Olympics! Are you excited if you run a business dependent on tourism are you excited at the prospect that London hosting the Olympics is in fact putting tourists coming to London! Are you excited that major corporate brands will be cashing in whilst the taxpayer will be out of pocket! Are you excited that nobody is able to protest about London hosting the Olympics whilst London hosts the Olympics! Are you excited that nobody living in London was asked if they wanted any of this bullshit!

Are you still excited at the prospect of London hosting the Olympic Games?

Yes the mass media wants you to get all excited about the spectacle of London hosting the Olympics but not the REAL consequences of London hosting the Olympics.

Of course many pundits in the mass media would no doubt make out that the likes of myself who criticise London hosting the Olympics are miserable naysayers choking on sour grapes or something equivalent to that. Of course it’s never mentioned that the reason many pundits in the mass media would spin against anybody with legitimate criticism of London hosting the Olympics is because those pundits work for mass media outlets that are owned by corporate interests who’ll be cashing in from London hosting the Olympics.

It is kind of disturbing that any mass media puppet would spin against the very legitimate criticism that nobody in London was ever asked whether they wanted London to host the Olympics. You’d think considering the impact of London hosting the London it would have only been proper to ask people living in London if they were willing to endure the impact of London hosting the Olympics & essentially this is my primary criticism about London hosting the Olympics.

There was no consultation, no referendum, no real political opposition; Londoners were just told that London was bidding to host the Olympics because it was arrogantly assumed that everybody living in London & the surrounding areas would be overjoyed about London hosting the Olympics. Now some will say that government doesn’t always consult the electorate or the populous over everything it does, which of course is true but you’d think something on the scale of the Olympics government should of consulted people in London & the surrounding areas that are going to be affected by the Olympics.

What concerns me is that if the government proceed on spending billions on something on the scale of the Olympics without really consulting the electorate then what next will the government will spend billions on without consulting people, what next will government spend billions on which nobody was asked about but will affected by. The banking bailout, the invasion of Iraq, the Millennium Dome; all of which have been things government has spent large amounts of taxpayer’s money without actually consulting the taxpayer on stuff which affects taxpayers but necessarily benefits any taxpayer.

Oh & if any taxpayer wanting to protest they were never consulted on the government has seen to it that people will be prohibited from doing so during London hosting the Olympics. Basically government has banned freedom of expression in run up & during the London hosting the Olympics & if you try exercising your natural born right to free expression you might find yourself interned (without trial) for summer if not beyond.

Never mind people getting excited about the London Olympics people need to be worried about te Olympics with autocrat government & the suspension of human rights.
