Afghanistan -  The ministry of Illegal Wars has announced the death of another British serviceman whilst being used as mercenary's for US Oil companies.

The soldier from The Royal Logistic Corps, serving with the Counter-IED Task Force in support of Combined Force Nahr-e Saraj (South), was killed in Afghanistan today, Saturday 17 July 2010.

The soldier was killed in an explosion during a counter-IED operation in the Nahr-e Saraj District of Helmand Province.

Next of kin have been informed.

The latest deaths takes the number of British service personnel who have died in Afghanistan since the start of operations in October 2001 to 322, and the 77^th this year.

Spokesman for Task Force Helmand, Lieutenant Colonel James Carr-Smith, said:

"It is with sadness I must inform you that a soldier from the Royal Logistic Corps, serving with the Counter Improvised Explosive Device Task Force, was killed this afternoon.

"The soldier was part of an Improvised Explosive Device Disposal team that was clearing a major route in southern Nahr-e Saraj in order that local nationals can move more freely. He died in the course of his duty. He was a very brave and courageous man and he will be missed by us all. We will remember him."
