UK - The boyfriend of Baby Peter Connolly's mother,  Steven Barker, has had is appeal against the conviction for raping baby Peter's two-year-old sister rejected by Court of Appeal in London.

The Qc for Barker, Bernard Richmond, had argued at a hearing in November that an Old Bailey judge should have halted the case against him. Claiming that the evidence of the girl should have been excluded.

He claimed that the girl was to young to give evidence against his client.

The Three judges sitting at the appeals court, Lord Chief Justice Lord Judge, Lady Justice Hallett and Mrs Justice Macur, disagreed and dismissed his appeal against the conviction for rape.
